Move More

Move More Month is a chance for all of us to build more movement into our day in ways that feel good, achievable, and enjoyable.

You don’t need a gym membership* or hours of free time. Small amounts of movement, done regularly, can make a real difference to your physical health, mental wellbeing, and energy levels.

Whether it’s a short walk, stretching at your desk, or trying something new, every step counts.

*But if you do want to join a local gym, make sure you check out the discounted gym memberships, available through your Westfield Health app

Moving more matters becausde regular movement can help to:

  • Boost mood and reduce stress
  • Improve focus and productivity
  • Increase energy levels
  • Support better sleep
  • Improve physical health and reduce risk of illness

Even short bursts of activity, just 5–10 minutes, can have a positive impact.

if you’re sat down all day at work you should try to move more:

  • Take a short walk during breaks or lunchtime
  • Stand or stretch between meetings
  • Walk while on phone calls
  • Use the stairs instead of the lift
  • Set a reminder to get up every hour

At your desk:

  • Shoulder rolls and neck stretches
  • Seated leg raises
  • Wrist and posture exercises

Before or after work:

  • Walk or cycle part of your commute
  • Try a short home workout or yoga session
  • Enjoy active hobbies like gardening or dancing

Remember – it all adds up!

A Gentle Reminder
Moving more doesn’t have to mean pushing yourself hard. It’s about finding what works for you at your own pace.

Start small, stay consistent, and most importantly – choose movement you enjoy.

This Month’s Focus

Move more. Feel better. One step at a time.
