    • gas bottles
    • glass
    • green garden waste
    • metals
    • motor oil
    • paper
    • plastic bottles
    • rubble
    • soil
    • textiles
    • timbers
    • tyres
    • white goods
    • electrical goods (WEEE)

Household centres

Wherever you live in Wiltshire, it is likely that you have a household recycling centre (HRC) not far away. We currently operate a network of ten sites – the modern equivalent of Civic Amenity sites – but are working towards opening even more. Our current sites are at:

Amesbury

Honeyball Calne

Melksham

Purton

Stanton St Quintin

Trowbridge

Warminster

Salisbury

Everleigh

Devizes

Click here for a map and more information on individual HRCs.

Hazardous wastes such as household or garden chemicals, lead–based paint and nickel cadmium batteries require special disposal. They can be brought to the sites in small quantities but the supervisor should be informed. Asbestos may only be taken to Warminster, Salisbury and Purton HRCs. Please read our guidance notes here.
