General Information

“Raid your Rubbish” is the call to arms for the campaign that encourages the people of Wiltshire to recycle.  The initiative comes from the Wiltshire Waste partnership which is operated by Wiltshire County Council and by the Kennet, North Wiltshire, Salisbury and West Wiltshire districts.  The contract for operation of the recycling service has been placed with Hills.  Together, this team is working hard to meet government targets set for 40% of our household waste to bypass landfill by 2010.

The scheme is spearheaded by the Waste Warrior who is pictured here. If you would like to meet his family please click here.

Hills also operates a Schools Recycling Scheme in partnership with the Wiltshire Wildlife Trust.  Learn more about how your school can become involved.

Why not arrange a tour of the well managed Material Recycling Facility at Lower Compton, near Calne.
