Alan Pardoe MCMA

Chairman

Alan joined the company as an Assistant Management Accountant in 1970, and was promoted to Credit Manager in 1972. He became Financial Accountant in 1974 and then moved to the position of Group Chief Accountant in 1978. In 1983 he became the Finance Director, Managing Director in 1992 and Chairman of the company in 2008.

 

 

Michael Hill BA (Hons)

Chief Executive

Mike is the great grandson of Edward Hill, founder of the company and joined the family business in August 1994 after spending several years in Bristol working for the accountancy firm KPMG. Mike graduated from Bristol University with a joint honours degree in European Business Management and Spanish and in 2004 graduated from the University of Bath with an MBA. Mike has worked as a Manager and Director in all parts of the business during the last 15 years and became Group Chief Executive in April 2008. 

 

 

 

Nick King

Group Director - Property

Nick joined the company in 1990, and has over 32 years experience in the construction and development industry and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Building and a Member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors. He is currently a Governor of Swindon College and is the Vice Chair of the Chartered Institute of Building (South West Branch).

 

 

 

Alan Mackenzie

Group Director - Quarry Products

Alan joined the company in 1993 as Production Manager before being appointed a Director in 1998 then General Manager (Aggregates) in 2004, before taking up the post of Divisional Managing Director for Quarry Products Limited. Alan has 40 years experience in the construction and quarrying industry and has been a Fellow of the Institute of Quarrying since 1988.

 

 

 

Mike Webster

Group Director - Waste Solutions

Mike graduated from Sheffield University in 1980 and went on to become a Chartered Mineral Surveyor. He joined the company in 1987, and is also a Fellow of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors, a Fellow of the Institute of Quarrying, a Chartered Waste Manager and a Chartered Environmentalist.
