Changes we intend to make at Chapel Farm
The existing planning permission for this site anticipates that the site will be restored in 2012. However, the Swindon and Wiltshire Waste contracts anticipate that the site will be needed until 2016. Hills Waste Solutions has submitted a planning application seeking to regularise the planning permission with the waste licence and to fully restore the site by the end of 2017.
This application will be one of a series of applications across Wiltshire and Swindon that are required to facilitate the harmonisation of the waste collection service by Wiltshire Council.
The activities Hills Waste Solutions will undertake are
Parkgate Farm, Purton: implementation of an existing planning permission to provide additional composting capacity to accommodate increased volumes generated by Wiltshires new compost collection service.
Lower Compton, Calne: a planning application for materials recovery facilities for domestic and commercial/industrial waste, transport, and redesigned access has been submitted and a decision is expected in early 2012.
Porte Marsh Industrial Estate: planning permission has been granted for a temporary waste transfer station and recycling centre that is needed until the facilities at Lower Compton are operational.
Northacre Industrial Park, Westbury: implementation of an existing planning permission to build a mechanical and biological treatment plant.
Mills Way, Amesbury: planning application for a recyclables management facility.
