Blunsdon

Our operation at Chapel Farm, between Blunsdon St Andrew and Cricklade receives waste from Swindon and neighbouring areas. It also has facilities for wood recycling and for sorting and recycling of skip waste. The site generates sufficient electricity fron landfill gas to meet the needs of 4,000 homes. Clay dug on site is a valuable mineral and is being used for the A419 Commonhead junction improvement.

Hills operates a liaison committee for the site which includes representatives from Blunsdon St Andrew Parish Council, Cricklade Town Council and Swindon Borough Council. You can read liaison committee minutes here.

The site is open for local businessess to dispose of waste which willbe recycled where possible.
